As we look to the new year,  S&S Cattle thanks the next generation of agriculture families for including us in their programs.

 
Congratulations to S&S Cattle’s 2023 scholarship recipients: Afton Compton, Texas A&M University; Kelton Poe, Texas Tech University; Wyatt Hagle, Texas A&M University; and Yulisa Santana, Texas A&M University Kingsville.

wyatt hagle

Wyatt Hagle is a senior at Texas A&M University pursing a degree in agribusiness. He grew up showing steers and stated "I am grateful to S&S for investing in me by providing a scholarship to continue my education."

Kelton Poe

Kelton Poe is Needville, located near the Texas gulf coast. He was an active member of his local FFA Chapter and exhibited countless projects across state level. Kelton attended Blinn college where he was a member of the National Champion livestock judging team. From there, Kelton has continued his livestock judging competition and is now a senior at Texas Tech University, pursuing an animal science degree.

Yulisa santana

Yulisa Santana is pursuing a M.S. in Animal Science (animal breeding and genetics) at Texas A&M University - Kingsville. She is from McAllen and was blessed with the opportunity to show cattle for 10 years. It was during this time that I discovered a passion and love for the show cattle industry. Yulisa hopes to attend a school of Veterinary Medicine in the Fall of 2026.
